The Independence Day Festival, Small Engine Parade, and Fireworks is an opportunity for the citizens of Camilla and visitors to come together to celebrate Independence Day and unite as a community in a spirited, fun and festive fashion. The 2 - day festival will start at 5 pm and end at 11 pm. On Saturday. July 2, 2022 and Monday July 4, 2022. The day afternoon and evening will be fun-filled with Arts and Crafts Vendors, Food Vendors, and Entertainment.

The Entertainment will be in two locations, Colleen Morrell Park and the City Parking Lot on Scott Street. There will 14 groups/bands that will be appearing on the two stages starting at 5:30 pm and ending at 11 pm on Saturday and Monday. Mama Rita’s Mexican Kitchen and Knives will be open on both days and will be serving food and alcohol. If you would like to take an alcoholic drink out the festival you may, once your ID is checked a band will be put around your wrist and drinks will be served in a special cup.

On Monday, July 4, at approx. 8:30 pm will be the Small Engine Parade and at approx. 9:30 pm will be the Fireworks Display. Make plans to join in the fun, food, shopping, entertainment, and special events during the 2 - Day Independence Day Festival. Bring a lawn chair, claim a space and enjoy this exciting event sponsored by the City of Camilla.
