RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

On March 8th the Department of Community Affairs (DCA) opened its' online portal for utility customers, landlords, and tenants to apply for relief through the Georgia Rental Assistance Program (GRAP).

DCA is administering federal funds that were provided to the State of Georgia to help residents unable to pay rent and utilities due to COVID-19. The program can provide between 12 and 15 months of unpaid utilities.

Only 12 cities and counties with populations over 200,000 received direct allocations; the rest will be eligible through the DCA GRAP.

Landlords may apply for multiple properties in one application.
