Tie downs are provided at no cost for visiting aircrafts.

Prominent area businesses generate a significant amount of corporate air traffic throughout the year. Considered a hunting destination, Camilla-Mitchell County is home to some of the finest, world renowned quail hunting plantations in southwest Georgia. Hunters from across the nation fly in to the Camilla-Mitchell County Airport to enjoy quality hunting experiences, relaxed and refined accommodations, and Southern hospitality at its best. In addition to private and business related flights, the Airport houses and serves the Mitchell County School System’s pilot training program. This pilot training program is one of a kind in this region and Georgia and students are trained and pilot certified after completing curriculum requirements.

A capital improvement plan for FY 2020-2024 has been planned and developed for the Camilla-Mitchell County Airport identifying and prioritizing critical airport development. Elements of the plan includes construction of a corporate hangar, terminal area design and construction, perimeter fencing, access road relocation, fuel farm/fueling station, 10 unit T-Hangar building and taxiway, maintenance hangar design and construction, and updating the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise plan.
