The City of Camilla’s electric department provides approximately 2,400 customers with electrical service. This department, staffed with 6 qualified line personnel, is devoted to insuring customers receive reliable, uninterrupted service. With departmental sales in excess of $13.2 million annually, customer size ranges from residential to large industrial customers with loads of 10MW and greater.

The City of Camilla is a member of MEAG Power, a not for profit electric provider supplying electricity to 52 communities in Georgia. MEAG is a public power entity designated as a joint action agency, meaning they are a consortium of public power systems within our state. Public power costs less due to its not-for-profit nature and efficient operation and the cost savings are directly given to the consumer.
